Surf Lessons in Marettimo is a guided surfing programme on the island of Marettimo, Sicily, offering tuition for beginners and intermediate riders. The lessons take place at Cala Bianca and other sheltered coves, with equipment provided by local instructors. Each session focuses on wave reading, paddle technique, and safe board handling in the clear Tyrrhenian Sea.
What to expect
- Two-hour lesson with a certified instructor, including a 15-minute beach briefing on currents and reef hazards.
- Soft-top surfboard, wetsuit, and leash included in the lesson fee; no extra rental charges.
- Sessions run from May to October, with morning slots at 9:00 and afternoon slots at 15:00, weather permitting.
- Practise on gentle rolling waves at Cala Bianca, a sandy-bottomed cove with no rocks or sharp shelving.
- Suitable for ages 10 and up, with a maximum of 6 students per instructor for individual feedback.
- Each lesson ends with a video review of your paddling and pop-up technique, sent to your phone within 24 hours.
