Surf Lessons in Noto is a guided surfing programme based on the sandy beaches of Noto, Sicily, suitable for beginners and intermediate riders. The lessons are led by certified instructors who provide all necessary equipment, including boards and wetsuits, and adapt the session to local wave conditions. Each lesson focuses on safety, paddle technique, and wave-catching fundamentals, with the option of private or group tuition.
What to expect
- Lessons last 2 hours, with a 15-minute land-based safety briefing before entering the water
- All equipment is included: soft-top surfboard, wetsuit, and leash, sized to your height and weight
- You will practise pop-up and balance drills on the sand before attempting waves in waist-deep water
- Group sessions cap at 6 participants, ensuring individual feedback from the instructor
- Suitable for ages 8 and up, with a separate shallow-water area for children and absolute beginners
- You receive a post-session photo review of your technique, highlighting one correction to focus on next time
