The Cous Cous Fest is the principal festival in San Vito Lo Capo, Sicily, held annually in September along the town's main beachfront. It combines an international cous-cous cooking competition with food stalls, live music concerts, and cultural events over ten days. The festival draws chefs from Mediterranean and North African nations, making it a culinary meeting point.
What to expect
- Watch live cooking demonstrations by international chefs competing for the Golden Cous-Cous award
- Taste over 30 varieties of cous-cous dishes from stalls lining Via Savoia and the harbour
- Attend free evening concerts on the main stage, featuring Sicilian folk and world music acts
- Join the final award ceremony on the last Saturday, with fireworks over the bay
- Suitable for food travellers and families, with a dedicated children's cooking workshop area
- The event runs from early to mid-September, with daily opening hours from 10:00 to midnight
