About this experience

The Festivals in Levanzo are a series of religious and cultural celebrations held on the small island of Levanzo, part of the Egadi archipelago in Sicily. These events honour local patron saints and maritime traditions, drawing residents and visitors into the island's tight-knit community. The festivals feature processions, music, and communal meals that reflect the island's fishing heritage.

What to expect

Witness the procession of the patron saint's statue carried through the island's narrow streets, accompanied by traditional brass bands.
Join the evening festa in the main piazza, where local families serve fried fish, pane cunzato, and sweet almond pastries.
Watch the blessing of the fishing boats in the harbour, a ceremony that dates back generations and includes decorated vessels and fireworks.
Participate in the communal dance and live folk music sessions that follow the religious rites, often lasting until midnight.
Suitable for families and cultural travellers, with most events free to attend and accessible on foot from the island's single village.
