About this experience

Festivals in Noto is a year-round programme of civic and religious celebrations held across the Baroque town of Noto, Sicily. The calendar includes the Infiorata flower carpet festival in May, the Saint Conrad feast in February, and the Almond Blossom Festival in March. Each event transforms the town's limestone streets and piazzas with processions, floral art, and local food stalls.

What to expect

The Infiorata in May covers Via Nicolaci with a 700-metre carpet of flower petals arranged into large pictorial scenes, viewable from the street for three days
The February feast of Saint Conrad includes a silver reliquary procession through the town centre, followed by a fireworks display over the Cathedral
The Almond Blossom Festival in March features folk music groups from across Sicily performing in the Piazza Municipio, alongside almond-based pastry stalls
During the Saint Conrad feast, visitors can join the evening candlelit procession that climbs the 142 steps of the Cathedral's front staircase
The Infiorata event includes a competition among local artists, with the completed flower panels left in place for public viewing and photography until the following morning
The festivals suit visitors interested in Sicilian religious traditions and Baroque architecture, with most events lasting between two and four hours
