Coffee Shops in Sicily is a guided tour of the island's historic cafés and modern roasteries, based in Sicily. The activity takes visitors through Catania, Palermo, and Syracuse to sample regional espresso and granita. Each stop is selected for its local brewing methods and pastries.
What to expect
- Three-hour walking tour covering four cafés in central Catania, including a 19th-century bar with original marble counters
- Tastings of six drinks: espresso, caffè d'orzo, granita with brioche, and almond milk, plus two Sicilian pastries
- A behind-the-counter visit to a roastery in Palermo's Vucciria market to watch bean roasting and grinding
- A short bus transfer to Syracuse's Ortigia island for a coffee and cannoli pairing at a seafront café
- Suitable for adults and older teenagers; the tour runs daily at 10:00 and lasts until 13:00, with a maximum group size of eight people
