Caffè del Porto is a coffee shop on Via Savoia in San Vito Lo Capo, Sicily, facing the harbour. It serves espresso, cappuccino, and granita with brioche, a local breakfast staple. The terrace overlooks the fishing boats and the beach promenade.
What to expect
- Sit at the outdoor terrace and watch the morning catch being unloaded from the boats.
- Order the granita con brioche, a Sicilian iced dessert with a soft bun, available in almond, pistachio, and lemon flavours.
- The espresso is made with a local Sicilian roast, served with a glass of water and a small biscuit.
- Open from 6:30 am to 11:00 pm, so you can stop by for breakfast, an afternoon coffee, or an after-dinner digestif.
- The shop has a small pastry counter with cannoli and cassata, which you can take away or eat at the tables.
- It suits solo travellers and families alike, with high chairs and a relaxed, unhurried pace.
