About this experience

Coffee Shops in Ragusa is a curated guide to the historic cafes and modern espresso bars scattered across Ragusa, Sicily. This activity highlights the city's coffee culture, from baroque-era establishments in Ragusa Ibla to contemporary roasteries in the upper town. Visitors can explore traditional granita, espresso, and pastry pairings while observing daily Sicilian life.

What to expect

A 2-hour self-guided walking tour covers six distinct coffee venues, including the 19th-century Caffè dell'Arte and a third-wave roastery near Piazza San Giovanni.
Each stop includes a tasting of a regional specialty, such as espresso with almond milk, granita with brioche, or a cannolo paired with a short coffee.
Visitors see baristas at work, learn the local ritual of drinking coffee at the counter, and observe the social dynamics of Ragusa's morning and afternoon coffee hours.
Suitable for coffee enthusiasts and cultural travellers, the tour operates in small groups of up to eight people and lasts from 10:00 to 12:00.
A printed map and a digital audio guide in English and Italian provide historical context for each venue, including its architecture and role in local society.
