About this experience

Coffee Shops in Pantaleria is a guided tour of the island's traditional and modern cafés, located in the main towns of Pantelleria, Sicily. The activity introduces visitors to local brewing methods, including the famous pantelleria-style coffee made with wild capers and lemon zest. Each stop offers a distinct atmosphere, from rustic stone-built bars to seafront terraces.

What to expect

The tour lasts approximately 2 hours and includes visits to four different coffee establishments across Pantelleria's central districts.
At each café, you receive a small cup of espresso or a local variant, with one pastry included at the final stop.
You will watch a barista prepare coffee using the island's traditional 'caffè alla pantesca' recipe, which incorporates local capers and lemon peel.
The route includes a stop at a 19th-century dammuso-style café with original lava stone walls and a view of the harbour.
The activity suits small groups of up to 8 people, with a maximum walking distance of 1.5 kilometres between venues.
At the last venue, you can sample a cold coffee granita made with almonds grown on the island's terraced slopes.
