Coffee Shops in Marettimo

About this experience

What to expect

• Visit the harbour-front cafés along Via Scalo Vecchio, where you can watch fishing boats while drinking a Sicilian espresso or caffè d'orzo
• Try the local granita with brioche, a cold breakfast staple served at most bars from early morning until noon
• Expect a standard espresso to cost between €1.00 and €1.50, with table service adding a small surcharge of €0.50 to €1.00
• Most coffee shops open at 7:00 and close by 22:00, but several close for a mid-afternoon siesta between 14:00 and 17:00
• Suitable for solo travellers and small groups; seating is mostly outdoors on terraces or plastic chairs facing the port
• Cash is the preferred payment method, as only two bars on the island accept card payments for purchases under €10
