Hotels & Resorts in Long Beach is the primary accommodation cluster on the sandy eastern shore of Perhentian Islands' main tourist strip. This activity covers a range of beachfront lodgings, from basic chalets to air-conditioned resorts, all within walking distance of the jetty and dive shops. Long Beach's accommodation options are the practical base for snorkelling trips and nightlife on the island.
What to expect
- Rooms range from fan-cooled wooden chalets at RM80 per night to sea-view air-conditioned suites at RM300 per night
- Most properties include a shared veranda or hammock area facing the beach, with direct sand access from the room
- On-site restaurants serve breakfast, grilled fish, and banana pancakes from 7am to 10pm, with no need to leave the resort
- Standard check-in is at 2pm and check-out at 11am, with luggage storage available for late ferry departures
- All resorts are within a 5-minute walk of the main jetty, where speedboats arrive from Kuala Besut every hour between 8am and 5pm
- Suitable for budget backpackers and mid-range travellers; no luxury or five-star properties exist on this beach
