Across Malaysia the year divides between a drier stretch on the west-coast islands from about December to April and a window on the east coast from roughly April to October. Cooking here leans on Malay, Chinese and Indian influences, with fresh seafood and rice forming the backbone of most meals. The island receives flights, ferries and road bridges, and moving between towns is largely a matter of these connections. Malay and English serve as the main languages. With 830 reviews behind it, BuBu Long Beach Resort has accumulated a broad record of guest impressions over time.
