The area functions as a daytime rest stop for motorbike tours circling the island's northern tip.
What to expect
- Each café offers a standard cup of Gayo arabica brewed via V60 or tubruk, priced between 15,000 and 25,000 IDR
- Seating is on wooden benches or floor cushions under thatched roofs, all within 10 metres of the shoreline
- Most shops open from 08:00 to 18:00, with peak crowd between 10:00 and 14:00 when tour groups arrive
- Menus include fried bananas, cassava chips, and instant noodles, but no full meals are served
- The location suits solo travellers and small groups taking a 30-minute break between Gapang Beach and the Zero Kilometre Monument
- A few shops rent snorkelling masks for 50,000 IDR per hour, with direct access to the coral shelf in front of the seating area
