- Seating is on wooden platforms or plastic chairs under thatched roofs, 10 to 20 metres from the waterline
- A standard order is a cup of Gayo arabica or robusta, brewed with a sock filter, priced between 10,000 and 15,000 IDR
- Most shops also sell fried bananas, mie goreng, and fresh coconut water, with food prepared to order in 10 to 15 minutes
- The busiest hours are 10:00 to 14:00, when snorkelling boats return and visitors stop for a drink
