Sicily's Mediterranean weather brings scorching, rain-light summers and gentler winters with more rainfall, and the island's visitor numbers climb highest between June and September. Tables at Trattoria della Nonna fill fastest during that stretch, so reserving in advance pays off. Italian is the main language spoken, which makes ordering straightforward for visitors with a few basic phrases.
Flights, ferries and hydrofoils from the mainland connect the island for those extending their stay. Aci Sant'Antonio sits within reach of Catania for a day away from the table. With 991 reviews behind a 4 out of 5 average, Trattoria della Nonna has earned a loyal following among diners. Reserving ahead remains the reliable way to secure a table, particularly through the peak season.
