Guests come to Dojo & SPA - Centro benessere a Capaci Palermo for massage and wellness treatments delivered in a purpose-designed setting. A score of 4.4 out of 5, drawn from 391 reviews, reflects the standing it has built among its clientele. The centre sits close to Palermo, so those staying in the city can reach it without crossing the island. Booking ahead is advisable, particularly through the summer months when demand for treatments rises.

Appointments can be arranged through the venue's own website at http://www.dojoespa.com/, which outlines the services on offer. Five photographs of the centre are available, giving a preview of the rooms and facilities before a visit. Couples and solo visitors alike are catered for, whether the aim is a shared session or an individual treatment.

Sicily's Mediterranean climate brings hot, dry summers and mild, wetter winters, with June to September the busiest stretch of the year. Local cooking leans on seafood, handmade pasta, olive oil and wines produced on the island, so a meal after a treatment fits naturally into the day. Travellers reach Sicily by flight, ferry or hydrofoil from the mainland, and Italian is the language spoken throughout the island, including in Capaci. Other places within range include Cefalù, Trapani and Agrigento.
