Autocarrozzeria Prolese
About
Autocarrozzeria Prolese serves Sicily from Contrada San Lorenzo, SS193, sn, 96011 Augusta SR, Italy, on the island's eastern side. Guests have given it a 4.7 out of 5 average across 23 reviews, a small but consistent body of feedback. The business operates as a car repair workshop, and its identity is tied to the Augusta area rather than to the larger cities.
Augusta sits within reach of Catania and Syracuse along the eastern coast, so the workshop fits naturally into a route between them. Palermo, Taormina, Cefalù, Agrigento, Trapani and Marsala lie further afield but remain part of the same island network. The Contrada San Lorenzo address places it along the SS193, outside the town itself.
First-time visitors should expect a working garage rather than a showroom, given the modest review count and the out-of-town setting.
Sicily's peak season runs from June to September, when ferries fill and coastal hotels book out, and the roads grow busier with it. Festas for patron saints bring processions, band music and fireworks through the summer. Italian is the everyday language, with Sicilian and local dialects spoken alongside it, so a few local words help with routine exchanges.
