Supermarkets & Groceries in Custonaci

About this experience

What to expect

• Expect small-format stores with limited aisles, typical of rural Sicilian towns, rather than large hypermarkets.
• Fresh bread, seasonal fruit and vegetables, and local cheeses are usually available each morning, with stock replenished daily.
• You can purchase regional staples such as olive oil, capers, and dried pasta at prices lower than tourist-oriented shops in nearby coastal resorts.
• Opening hours typically run from 8:00 to 13:00 and 16:00 to 20:00, with closures on Sunday afternoons and Wednesday afternoons in many stores.
• Most shops accept cash and major debit or credit cards, though small purchases under 5 euros may require cash.
• The activity suits self-catering travellers, holiday-home renters, and anyone needing groceries within walking distance of Custonaci's residential areas.
