What to expect

• Tours run 3 to 6 hours, with distances between 6 and 14 kilometres and elevation gains up to 400 metres
• Each booking includes a licensed guide, a printed route map, and a packed snack of local almonds and olive oil bread
• Routes pass through the Cava Grande del Cassibile nature reserve, where you see prehistoric cave dwellings and a 60-metre waterfall
• You walk on mule tracks and dry-stone terraces used by farmers since the 18th century, with stops at abandoned baglio farmhouses
• Suitable for adults with moderate fitness; no technical climbing, but sturdy boots and at least 1.5 litres of water per person are required
• Small groups are capped at 10 people, and departures are scheduled at 8:30 am to avoid midday heat from May to September
