What to expect

• Tours last 3 to 4 hours and cover 6 to 8 kilometres of uneven volcanic terrain, with moderate elevation gain on crater rims.
• Each hike includes a certified local guide, a safety briefing, and a printed map of the island's trail network.
• Participants see the black-sand beach of Pozzo Perciato, the abandoned sulphur mine at Cala Pozzolana, and the nesting sites of the Mediterranean shearwater.
• The route passes through the Scirocco and Libeccio lava flows, with stops to examine basalt columns and volcanic bombs.
• Suitable for adults and children over 10 years old with basic fitness; sturdy footwear and at least 1.5 litres of water per person are required.
• Groups are limited to 12 people, and the tour operates from March to October, with morning departures at 9:00 and afternoon departures at 16:00.
