About this experience

Paragliding in Oristano is a tandem or solo flight activity launched from the hills of the Sinis Peninsula, Sardinia. The flight offers a thermal and coastal route over the Gulf of Oristano, with views of the Marceddì lagoon and the medieval tower of Mariano II. Landings occur on the sandy beach of Torre Grande, a designated paragliding zone with prevailing north-west winds from April to October.

What to expect

  • Tandem flights last 20-30 minutes from take-off at 300 metres above sea level, with a total ground-to-ground session of 2 hours including briefing and equipment fitting.
  • The package includes a certified pilot, harness, helmet, and a GoPro rental for an optional 10-minute in-flight video of your descent.
  • You will fly over the Cabras wetland, a Ramsar site where pink flamingos and grey herons are visible during spring migrations.
  • The activity suits first-time flyers and light-experienced pilots; no licence is required for tandem, but solo flyers must present a valid UNI EN 926 pilot certificate.
  • Flights operate daily from 9:00 to 18:00, with a weight limit of 120 kg and a minimum age of 12 years for passengers.
  • On landing, you receive a printed flight log with altitude, distance, and duration data, plus a map of the Sinis Peninsula flight corridor.
