Surf Lessons in Anse Lazio is a guided surf instruction session on the northern coast of Praslin, Seychelles. The activity takes place on the island's granite-fringed beach, where gentle Indian Ocean swells break over a sandy bottom. Lessons are led by certified local surfers who tailor each session to the participant's current skill level.

What to expect

Each lesson runs for 90 minutes, including 15 minutes of land-based technique drills and 75 minutes in the water.
A soft-top surfboard and a reef-safe wetsuit are provided for every participant, sized for adults and children aged 8 and older.
You will practice paddling, pop-up positioning, and wave reading in waist-deep water before attempting your first unbroken wave.
The teaching zone is a 200-metre stretch of beach between the granite boulders at the east end and the takamaka trees at the west end.
Suitable for first-timers who have never stood on a board, as well as intermediate surfers wanting to refine their bottom turns on a left-hand break.
Group sizes are capped at four students per instructor, with a second instructor added when the group exceeds four.
