Drone Photography in Poros Town is a guided aerial photography session over the town and its harbour on the island of Poros. The activity takes place from launch points near the clock tower and the seafront, offering direct views of the strait towards the Peloponnese. Participants operate their own drones under local flight rules, with the session timed for optimal light on the whitewashed buildings and blue domes.
What to expect
- Session duration is 90 minutes, including a 15-minute pre-flight briefing on Greek drone regulations and no-fly zones around the naval base
- The route covers the clock tower, the harbour front, and the narrow streets of the old town from altitudes of 30 to 120 metres
- A local pilot accompanies the group to identify legal launch sites and to assist with framing shots of the Poros channel and the opposite coast
- The activity suits drone owners with a valid operator ID and a drone under 250 grams or with a registered A1/A3 certificate
- Each participant receives a digital map of approved take-off points and a checklist for safe battery management during the session
- The session ends with a 10-minute review of captured footage on a tablet, with tips on colour grading for Mediterranean light
