Spa & Massage in Perhentian Besar is a beachfront wellness service located on the main island of the Perhentian Islands, off the coast of Terengganu. It offers traditional Malay and oil massages in open-air wooden huts facing the sea. Treatments use local coconut and lemongrass oils, with sessions lasting between 30 and 90 minutes.
What to expect
- Choose from 30-minute express back massages or 90-minute full-body traditional Malay sessions, all performed on elevated wooden platforms with ocean views
- Therapists use warm coconut oil pressed from local coconuts, followed by a lemongrass-scented towel wipe-down
- Each session includes a brief foot wash with seawater and a cold hibiscus tea served after the massage
- Open-air huts provide natural ventilation and the sound of waves, with curtains for privacy on request
- Suitable for travellers seeking muscle relief after snorkelling or diving, as well as for couples booking side-by-side tables
- Walk-in service is available daily from 10:00 to 19:00, with no advance reservation needed for most time slots
