Drone Photography in Marpissa is a guided aerial photography session in the village of Marpissa on the island of Paros, Greece. Participants fly a drone over Marpissa's marble-paved alleys, whitewashed houses, and the nearby coastline to capture wide-angle views of the Cycladic architecture and the Aegean Sea. The session is led by a local drone pilot who provides hands-on instruction on flight paths, camera settings, and composition.
What to expect
- Session duration is 90 minutes, including a 15-minute safety briefing and drone setup.
- A DJI Mavic 3 drone with a 4/3 CMOS sensor is provided for each participant, or you may use your own drone.
- You will capture aerial footage of the 17th-century Panagia Malteza church and the marble-paved main square.
- The flight path includes the coastline from Marpissa to the neighbouring village of Marmara, with views of the blue-domed chapel of Agios Nikolaos.
- The session includes a post-flight review where the pilot edits one 4K video clip and three still images for you to keep.
- Suitable for beginners and intermediate pilots; no prior drone licence is required, but you must be at least 16 years old.
