Diving & Snorkeling in Mousatos is a guided underwater excursion based at the Mousatos beach on Paros' western coast. The activity operates from a small, family-run dive centre that provides all necessary equipment and safety briefings. Participants explore the rocky reef and seagrass beds that shelter octopus, groupers, and occasional sea turtles.
What to expect
- Sessions run 2.5 hours, including a 20-minute shore entry from Mousatos beach and 45–60 minutes underwater at depths of 3–12 metres.
- All gear is included: mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit, and weight belt; for certified divers, a full scuba tank and regulator are provided.
- The dive site features a granite boulder field with crevices and overhangs, where moray eels and painted comber are commonly sighted.
- Snorkellers stay in the shallow 2–4 metre zone, while scuba divers can descend to the sandy bottom at 12 metres to view a small artificial reef of concrete blocks.
- Suitable for beginners and children aged 8 and up; a certified instructor accompanies every group, with a maximum ratio of four guests per guide.
- After the activity, participants receive a brief species checklist of local fish, and fresh water showers are available at the beachside base.
