Surf Lessons in Sairee Beach is a beginner-focused surf school located on the main beach of Koh Tao, Thailand. The lessons take place in the gentle, waist-deep water near the shore, where small waves break consistently during the southwest monsoon season. Each session is led by a certified instructor who provides all necessary equipment and safety guidance.

What to expect

90-minute group or private lesson includes a soft-top surfboard, leash, and rash guard.
Learn the pop-up technique on land first, then practice catching white-water waves in shallow water.
Sessions run daily at 9:00 and 14:00, with a maximum of 6 students per instructor.
Suitable for first-timers and children aged 8 and above; no swimming skills required as the water is waist-deep.
After the lesson, you can rent the board for an additional hour to practice independently.
Instructors provide video feedback on your technique during the final 15 minutes of the session.
