Hostels in Phi Phi Leh

About this experience

What to expect

• Dormitory beds are typically arranged in 4- to 12-person rooms with shared lockers and ceiling fans, but no air conditioning in most budget options
• Each night's stay includes a bunk bed, a thin mattress, a pillow, and a shared bathroom with cold-water showers
• Guests walk from the pier through sand and wooden walkways to reach the hostel, as no motorised vehicles operate on the island
• Common areas offer basic seating, a small shelf of books, and sometimes a hammock, but no on-site restaurant or bar
• The hostel is within a 5- to 10-minute walk of the main beach and the island's few food stalls, which serve Thai curries and grilled seafood
• This accommodation suits backpackers and solo travellers who prioritise low cost over privacy, as walls are thin and noise from neighbouring rooms carries easily
