Caffe Roma is a traditional coffee bar on Via Roma in Ischia Porto, the island's main harbour strip. It serves Neapolitan espresso, cappuccino, and pastries from a marble counter with a few outdoor tables. The bar opens early for commuter traffic and stays busy through the mid-morning ferry arrivals.
What to expect
- Counter-service espresso and cappuccino served within two minutes of ordering, with a glass of water on the side
- Fresh cornetti and sfogliatelle delivered daily from a local bakery before 8:00 AM
- Outdoor seating for six tables facing the pedestrianised Via Roma, shaded by a canvas awning
- Takeaway paper cups available for the 10-minute walk to the ferry terminal
- Suitable for solo travellers or couples wanting a quick, standing breakfast before a boat departure
- Cash payments under 10 euros are standard; card accepted for larger orders
