The activity provides a licensed drone operator and camera equipment to capture personalised footage of lava fields, turquoise bays, and historic landmarks. Each session is tailored to the participant's skill level, from beginners to advanced pilots.
What to expect
- Sessions last 90 minutes, including a 15-minute safety briefing and pre-flight checklist.
- A DJI Mavic 3 Pro drone with a 4/3 CMOS sensor is provided, along with ND filters and spare batteries.
- Fly over Kailua Pier, Kamakahonu Beach, and the Mokuaweoweo lava flow zone, with the operator handling all FAA compliance.
- Receive a 4K video file and 20 edited still images via a private cloud link within 48 hours.
- Suitable for solo travellers, couples, and small groups up to four, with no prior drone licence required.
- The launch site is at Kona International Marketplace, with a shaded waiting area and water provided.
