Drone Photography in Hilo is a guided aerial filming session over the rainforest, waterfalls, and black-sand coastline of Hawaii's Big Island. The activity provides a licensed remote pilot, a DJI Mavic 3 drone, and a pre-flight safety briefing at the Hilo Bayfront launch site. Each session lasts 90 minutes and includes a memory card with 4K footage and edited stills delivered within 48 hours.
What to expect
- 90-minute session with a licensed Part 107 pilot and DJI Mavic 3 drone
- Fly over Rainbow Falls, Wailuku River, and the Hilo shoreline at altitudes up to 120 metres
- Includes a pre-flight briefing on local airspace rules and no-fly zones near the airport
- You receive a 16GB SD card with raw 4K video and 20 edited JPEG stills
- Suitable for beginners and intermediate pilots; no prior drone licence required
- Launch point is a flat grass area at Liliuokalani Gardens, with restrooms and parking nearby
