Coffee Shops in Puerto Rico is a guided tasting tour of the island's specialty coffee scene, based in the coastal town of Puerto Rico, Gran Canaria. The tour visits three independent roasteries and cafés, where participants sample locally grown beans from the island's volcanic highlands. Each stop includes a short brewing demonstration and a paired pastry, with the whole walk lasting two hours.
What to expect
- Two-hour walking tour covering three working coffee roasteries within a 500-metre radius of Puerto Rico's promenade
- Tastings of four distinct single-origin coffees, including a rare blue mountain variety grown at 1,200 metres on Gran Canaria
- Behind-the-counter access to a professional espresso machine and a pour-over bar, with the barista explaining grind size and water temperature
- A complimentary guava and cheese pastry at the final café, matched to a medium-roast blend
- Suitable for small groups of up to eight people, with a morning departure at 10:00 and an afternoon option at 16:00
- Each participant receives a 100-gram bag of the tour's signature blend to take away
