Surf Lessons in La Lajita is a beginner-focused surf school session on the sandy beach of La Lajita, Fuerteventura. The lesson combines a 30-minute land-based theory briefing with a 90-minute in-water practice, covering paddle technique, wave reading, and pop-up mechanics. All equipment, including a soft-top board, wetsuit, and leash, is provided, and the class size is capped at eight students per instructor.
What to expect
- Two-hour total session: 30 minutes of dry-land instruction followed by 90 minutes of guided surfing in the shallow, gentle waves of La Lajita beach.
- Rental gear included: soft-top surfboard, full-length wetsuit, and leash, sized to your height and water temperature.
- Instructor stays in the water with you, giving one-on-one corrections on pop-up timing and balance for each wave attempt.
- Suitable for first-timers and weak swimmers, as the lesson area is waist-deep water with a sandy bottom and no rocks.
- Group size limited to eight participants, ensuring each person gets at least five to six wave rides per session.
- Post-lesson feedback: a short video review of your technique on the beach, showing which movements to adjust for your next session.
