Surf Lessons in Bohol is a guided surfing programme on the island's southern coast, based at the consistent breaks of Dauin or Anda beaches. The activity pairs certified local instructors with beginner and intermediate surfers, using soft-top boards and reef-safe wetsuits. Sessions run daily from 7am to 5pm, with tide-dependent scheduling confirmed on arrival.
What to expect
- Each lesson lasts 90 minutes, including a 20-minute land drill on paddle technique and pop-up form before entering the water.
- The package includes a soft-top surfboard, leash, and reef-safe wetsuit, plus a rash guard for sun protection.
- You will practice catching green waves on a gentle sandbar break, with the instructor physically guiding your board for the first three rides.
- The lesson concludes with a video review of your session, using a waterproof camera to show your pop-up timing and balance.
- Suitable for first-timers aged 8 and up, as well as intermediate surfers wanting to refine turns on a longboard.
- All instructors are certified by the Philippine Surfing Academy, and the ratio is capped at four students per coach.
