About this experience

Restaurants & Dining in Agia Marina is a curated guide to the seafront tavernas and family-run eateries lining the harbour of Agia Marina, Aegina. The dining scene centres on freshly caught fish, local pistachios, and traditional Greek meze, served within sight of the Saronic Gulf. Most establishments operate from late morning until midnight, with outdoor seating that faces the beach and the ferry dock.

What to expect

Meals typically last 1.5 to 2 hours, with menus featuring grilled octopus, fried calamari, and pistachio-crusted lamb.
Seating is on shaded terraces or directly on the sand, with views of the harbour and the island of Moni.
House wine is often produced on Aegina, and many tavernas offer a complimentary dessert of local pistachio sweets.
Vegetarian options include fava bean purée, horta (wild greens), and saganaki cheese, available at all waterfront restaurants.
Evening dining from 7 PM to 11 PM is busiest, with live Greek music on weekends at three or four larger tavernas.
Suitable for couples and families; high chairs are provided, and most menus include an English translation.
