The activity operates from the black-sand beach at Gapang, with coral gardens starting just 10 metres from shore. Divers and snorkelers access the same fringing reef, which drops to a sandy slope at 18 metres.

What to expect

Two-hour guided session includes boat transfer to three reef sites within Gapang Bay, with surface intervals on a moored platform
Snorkelers stay in 2-5 metres of water over branching Acropora coral, where clownfish and damselfish shelter in anemones
