Campsites in Sumur Tiga is a beachfront camping ground on the northwest coast of Weh Island, near Sabang, Aceh. It offers direct access to the calm waters of Sumur Tiga Bay, with shaded spots under coconut palms. The site is a base for snorkelling trips to nearby coral gardens and for watching sunsets over the Andaman Sea.
What to expect
- Pitch your tent on sandy ground 20 metres from the waterline, with space for up to 20 tents.
- Each booking includes a 3x3 metre tent, a sleeping mat, and a shared cooking shelter with a gas stove.
- Guests can walk 5 minutes to the coral reef edge for snorkelling, where parrotfish and clownfish are common.
- The site has two shared toilets and one cold-water shower, plus a small kiosk selling bottled water and instant noodles.
- Campfires are permitted on the beach from 18:00 to 22:00, with firewood provided by the caretaker.
- Suitable for small groups or solo travellers who want a basic, no-frills beach camp; not for those needing electricity or Wi-Fi.
