What to expect
- Tent pitches are set on sandy ground within 10 metres of the shoreline, with shade from coconut palms.
- Basic facilities include a shared toilet block and a freshwater tap; no electricity or Wi-Fi is available.
- Snorkelling gear can be rented from nearby warungs for around IDR 50,000 per day, with coral gardens 20 metres from the beach.
- Campfires are permitted on the beach, but firewood must be brought from Weh Island as none is sold on Pulau Rubiah.
- The site suits self-sufficient campers who carry their own tent, food, and water, as there is no shop on the island.
- Boat transfer from Gapang Beach on Weh Island takes 15 minutes and costs IDR 100,000 per person return.
