Beach Club & Bali Beds in Nari Basin is a leisure facility on Ulleungdo's volcanic coastline, offering shaded daybeds and direct access to the basin's calm waters. The club combines a sunbathing deck with a bar serving cold drinks and light snacks, set against the island's steep cliffs and pine forest. It operates from late spring to early autumn, weather permitting, and is the only dedicated beach club on the island.
What to expect
- Reserve a Bali bed (double daybed with canopy) for a half-day slot of 4 hours, including two towels and a small cooler with bottled water.
- Swim in the sheltered Nari Basin cove, where the water is shallow and wave-free, suitable for children and non-swimmers.
- Order from the on-site bar: iced Americano, fresh citrus ade, or local Ulleungdo squid jerky with beer, served to your bed.
- Watch the sunset from the deck between 18:00 and 19:30 in July, when the sun drops behind the sea stacks to the west.
- Suitable for couples and small groups; the club has 12 beds total, so booking a day in advance is advised for weekend visits.
- Access is via a 200-metre paved path from the Nari Basin car park, with a small entry fee of 5,000 KRW per person (bed rental extra).
