Diving & Snorkeling in Murter Town is a guided underwater activity based in the harbour of Murter, on the island of Murter in the Šibenik-Knin County. The tour operates from the town's waterfront, with dive sites reaching the nearby Kornati archipelago and the shallow reefs of the Murter Channel. Participants use provided masks, fins, and wetsuits, with certified instructors leading each session.
What to expect
- Sessions last 2.5 hours, including a 20-minute boat transfer to the dive site and 45 minutes underwater or snorkelling
- All equipment is included: mask, snorkel, fins, wetsuit, and an 8-litre tank for certified divers
- Divers explore the wreck of a 30-metre fishing trawler sunk at 18 metres, now home to groupers and moray eels
- Snorkellers follow a marked buoy line over a seagrass meadow at 3-5 metres depth, where juvenile damselfish and sea stars are visible
- The activity suits beginners and certified divers (minimum Open Water Diver), with a maximum group size of 8 people per guide
- A dry bag and a bottle of water are provided for each participant, and a freshwater shower is available on the boat after the dive
