Yacht Charter in Dodong is a private boat hire service operating from Dodong Harbour on Ulleungdo Island. It offers scheduled and customised sea excursions around the island's volcanic coastline, including sea caves, rock formations, and fishing grounds. The charter provides an alternative to ferry-based sightseeing, with direct access to coves and cliffs that are otherwise unreachable.
What to expect
- Charter durations range from 2-hour coastal tours to full-day expeditions, with departure times aligned to local weather windows.
- The vessel accommodates up to 12 passengers and includes a licensed captain, life jackets, and basic safety briefing before departure.
- Routes pass the Seonginbong peak, Gwaneumdo islet, and the Turtle Rock formation, with stops for swimming or snorkelling at sheltered bays.
- Fishing equipment and bait are provided on request, allowing guests to catch mackerel or squid during seasonal runs.
- Suitable for small groups, families with older children, and photographers seeking close-up views of the island's basalt sea cliffs.
- Onboard amenities include a shaded deck, fresh water, and a cooler box for personal snacks and drinks.
