Tenerife enjoys a mild subtropical climate, with warm, sunny weather through most of the year and the hottest, busiest stretch falling between June and September. The island's kitchens lean on the day's catch, goat cheese and papas arrugadas, the wrinkled potatoes served with mojo sauce. Aeroplanes link the islands with mainland Spain throughout the week, and boats plus short hops by air tie the individual islands together. Spanish is the main language spoken across Tenerife, and the island's southern resorts sit within easy reach of the studio.
