Ferretaría Almonte
About
Ferretaría Almonte, a local business on Tenerife, operates from Carr. al Monte las Mercedes, 10, Bajo, 38293 La Laguna, Santa Cruz de Tenerife. First-time visitors should expect a working hardware and construction supplies store rather than a retail showroom, with the trade counter and yard layout typical of a builders' merchant. The setting on the road up to Monte las Mercedes places it in the La Laguna municipality, inland from the island's northern coast.
The business trades under the Bigmat banner and serves both trade customers and the public with construction materials and tools. A rating of 4.4 out of 5, drawn from 877 reviews, reflects steady custom across a large customer base. That review volume makes it one of the more reviewed hardware outlets in the La Laguna area. Santa Cruz and La Laguna sit within the same urban zone, so the address is reachable from either town.
Opening hours run Mo-Fr 08:00-13:00,15:30-19:00;Sa 08:00-13:00, with the long midday break common to Spanish retail. A pair of photographs sits on the listing for anyone wanting a look before setting out. Tenerife's mild subtropical climate keeps most of the year warm and sunny, and June to September is the hottest and busiest stretch. Canarian cooking leans on fresh seafood, goat cheese and papas arrugadas served with mojo sauce, so a meal after a morning errand is easy to find. Scheduled air services tie the Canaries to mainland Spain, and boats plus brief hops by plane join the islands to each other. Spanish is the main language, and a few words of it help at the counter. Costa Adeje and Puerto de la Cruz lie further afield for visitors staying in the resort areas.
