Espacio de Danza
About
Espacio de Danza, on Tenerife, occupies a spot on Av. de Lucas Vega, 1, 38208 La Laguna, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, in the island's historic university city. First-time visitors should expect a studio-style setting where sessions are booked ahead and the focus stays on movement rather than passing trade.
A 5 out of 5 average across 40 reviews places it among the most consistently praised addresses in La Laguna. The surrounding streets sit within easy reach of Santa Cruz and the northern towns, while Costa Adeje, Playa de las Américas and Los Cristianos lie further south along the TF-1 corridor. Puerto de la Cruz, El Médano and Los Gigantes are also on the same road network, so a hire car or the island bus service covers most approaches.
La Laguna itself sits inland from the northern coast, roughly midway between Santa Cruz and the older port towns, in the greenest part of Tenerife. Spanish is the everyday language here, spoken with a Canarian accent and vocabulary that visitors pick up quickly.
Gofio, a toasted grain flour, turns up in island breads, stews and desserts, so it is worth trying while you are in the north. Whales, dolphins and sea turtles live in the waters around the Canaries, and several islands protect laurel forests, giving the archipelago a natural draw beyond the beaches. Carnival brings parades, music and satirical performances across the islands each year.
