About
In Tenerife, Barberia 18 is a spa, wellness centre or massage studio.
Av. Coronel Gorrín, 18, Loc 1, 38684 Tamaimo, Santa Cruz de Tenerife puts this wellness address in Tamaimo, a village in the island's south-western highlands. Fifty-one reviews have been left for Barberia 18, and the feedback averages 4.8 out of 5. That score reflects steady word of mouth for massage and wellness treatments in Tamaimo, where visitors book sessions rather than browse a large spa complex. Los Gigantes, Costa Adeje, Playa de las Américas and Los Cristianos sit within reach of the village for anyone travelling from the southern resort strip.
Booking ahead is sensible, since a small studio with a strong local following fills its diary quickly, particularly around weekends and the summer months. Treatment slots are arranged by appointment, so visitors planning a session around a stay in Tamaimo should reserve before travelling.
Opening hours are not published, so plan your visit around a confirmed appointment.
Tenerife's summer runs from June to September and is the hottest and busiest season, while winter stays warm enough for the beach. Gofio, a toasted grain flour, appears in island breads, stews and desserts, and the timple, a small five-string instrument, features in Canarian folk music alongside guitars. Car ferries connect the larger islands, and faster passenger boats serve the shortest crossings.
