About this experience

Scuba Courses in Tenerife are PADI-certified training programmes based at dive centres along the island's south coast, from beginner try-dives to advanced open water certifications. The courses use the calm, volcanic bays of Costa Adeje and Los Cristianos, where water temperatures range from 18°C in winter to 24°C in summer. Each course includes theory sessions, confined-water skills practice, and open-water dives at local sites such as El Puertito or the Las Eras reef.

What to expect

Beginner courses run over 3 to 4 days, with a 40-minute theory session, a pool or shallow bay drill, and two open-water dives to a maximum depth of 12 metres.
Advanced open water certification requires 5 adventure dives over 2 days, including a deep dive to 30 metres and a navigation exercise at the El Condesito wreck.
All rental equipment is included: BCD, regulator, wetsuit (5mm or 7mm), mask, fins, and weights, with tanks filled with enriched air nitrox available at no extra cost for certified divers.
Courses are conducted in small groups of maximum 4 students per instructor, with instruction available in English, Spanish, German, and Dutch.
The open-water training sites are accessible by boat from Puerto Colón, with dive durations of 45 to 60 minutes and surface intervals spent on the boat deck.
The programme suits complete beginners aged 10 and above, as well as certified divers seeking speciality ratings such as wreck, deep, or underwater photography.
