Restaurants & Dining in Ligoneri is a curated selection of tavernas and cafés along the harbour front of Ligoneri, a small settlement on the southern coast of Spetses. The dining options here focus on fresh seafood, Greek meze, and locally produced wine, served with views of the Argolic Gulf. Most establishments operate from late morning until midnight during the summer season, with seating both indoors and on shaded terraces.
What to expect
- Tables are set directly on the waterfront, with views of moored fishing boats and the nearby islet of Spetsopoula
- Menus feature daily-caught fish, grilled octopus, and traditional dishes like lamb kleftiko and horiatiki salad
- Meal service runs from 12:00 to 24:00, with most visitors staying for a two-hour lunch or a three-hour dinner
- House wine is poured from local barrels, and several tavernas offer a complimentary dessert of watermelon or loukoumades
- Suitable for couples and small groups seeking a quiet meal away from the main town of Spetses, reachable by a 20-minute coastal walk or water taxi
- Reservations are recommended for weekend evenings in July and August, as the seating capacity across all venues totals roughly 120 covers
