Can I fly a drone in the Canary Islands?

Yes, but you must follow local regulations. Drones under 250g have fewer restrictions. All drones must be flown within visual line of sight, below 120 meters, and away from airports, national parks, and crowded areas. Some areas require permits.

About this experience

Drone Photography in Grand Anse is a guided aerial filming session on the long white-sand beach of Grand Anse, Praslin, Seychelles. The activity provides a licensed pilot and drone equipment to capture the shoreline, granite boulders, and turquoise water from above. Participants receive edited footage or stills of their flight after the session.

What to expect

Session lasts 60 minutes, including a 10-minute safety briefing and 40 minutes of active drone flight.
The pilot operates a DJI Mavic 3 Pro with a 4/3 CMOS sensor, and you control the camera angle via a linked monitor.
You receive 10 edited 4K still images and a 2-minute aerial video clip delivered via USB drive on site.
Suitable for beginners and hobbyists; no prior drone licence is required, as the pilot holds the Seychelles Civil Aviation Authority permit.
The flight path covers the full 1.5 km beach stretch, including the reef edge and the palm-fringed backshore.
A waterproof backpack and sand-proof landing pad are provided, and the activity runs at low tide for optimal visibility.
