Paragliding in Dapia is a tandem paragliding flight launched from the hills above Dapia, the main harbour of Spetses. The flight offers a bird's-eye view of the old harbour, the pine-covered coastline, and the Argolic Gulf. Landings occur on the beach or a designated field near the town, depending on wind direction.
What to expect
- Tandem flight with a certified pilot, lasting 15 to 25 minutes depending on thermals
- Includes all safety equipment (harness, helmet, and glider) and a pre-flight briefing
- Takeoff from a slope at 200 metres elevation, with views over Dapia's neoclassical mansions and the Poseidonion Grand Hotel
- Soar along the coast to see the islet of Spetsopoula and the naval base at Kosta on the Peloponnese mainland
- Suitable for first-time flyers and those with no prior experience; minimum age is 8 years and maximum weight is 100 kg
- Flights operate from April to October, with morning and late-afternoon slots when sea breezes are stable
