Totally Hair

About

Totally Hair serves South Island as a local business, with its premises at 2 Wilson Street, Geraldine 7930, Nueva Zelanda. First-time visitors walk into a hairdresser rather than a hotel or resort, so the visit is built around cutting and styling rather than an overnight stay.

Clients have given the salon a 5 out of 5 average from 8 reviews, a small but consistent tally. Geraldine sits within reach of the island's main centres, including Queenstown, Christchurch, Dunedin, Nelson, Blenheim, Wanaka, Te Anau and Kaikoura, so the address works as a stop on a wider South Island route. Three photographs accompany the listing, showing the space before a booking.

Appointments take place at 2 Wilson Street, inside Geraldine's compact town grid, and the three photos on the listing give a sense of the salon itself. Nelson and Christchurch are among the towns within driving distance for anyone travelling the island.

New Zealand is a long, narrow group of islands, so almost nowhere in the country is far from the sea. Polynesian settlers reached New Zealand around the thirteenth century, and British colonisation followed from 1840. Tūī, kererū and other native birds are common, and dolphins, fur seals and seabirds are seen around the coast. Ferries reach Waiheke, the Hauraki Gulf islands and Stewart Island, and a Cook Strait service links the two main islands.
